Kingfisher Bay Marina

Demopolis, AL - Tombigbee River

Kingfisher Bay is strategically located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, the massive U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ project that connects the Tennessee River, which flows from the Mississippi, to the Tombigbee River, providing passage to and from Mobile Bay, opening up thousands of miles of inland waterways to the Mobile basin.

Originally a 70 acre cotton field in Demopolis, the land was dredged of sand. After the bulkhead surrounding the harbor was finished, MariCorp U.S. built and installed the docks.
This prime location has led to sustained yearly growth for the marina. The marina provides safe harbor for southern coastal boat owners wanting to protect their vessels during hurricane season. The additional seasonal berthing was partially funded by a Boating Infrastructure Grant.

Kingfisher Bay now includes 89 slips, and provides many modern amenities, including a community building with a wet bar on top, boaters’ laundry, restrooms, showers, swimming pool, shore power, potable water, pump-out services at each slip, and golf carts.
