2020 MARICORP US SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT

Maricorp IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE RECIPIENT OF THE 2020 Maricorp SCHOLARSHIP, ROBERT PREDDY

The MariCorp US scholarship is awarded annually to a student from Cassville High School, MO (CHS). The selection committee is made up of MariCorp employee volunteers who review, discuss then vote on the applications of potential recipients. Criteria for the scholarship include outstanding academic performance, involvement in school extracurricular activities and community involvement including but not limited to church, community service, political involvement, and employment experience.

The son of Gary Preddy, Robert is an A student and is active in many clubs, including Concert Marching Band, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Future Farmers of America (FFA), Jazz Band, Knowledge Bowl, and Technology Student Association (TSA).

Robert’s future plans include pursuing an Associate Degree in Construction Management at Crowder College, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at Missouri Southern State University.

The scholarship is awarded annually to a CHS student entering college. The Scholarship was established and initially funded by Scott Fitzpatrick owner and founder of Maricorp Scott was a 2006 graduate of Cassville High School, where he was attending when he founded MariCorp. Maricorp is a marina manufacturing and construction company located in Shell Knob, employing 70 people.

Robert’s future plans include pursuing Business Management and to open up a powder coating business and employing local people.
