NATIONAL SAFE BOATING WEEK 2018 SPONSORS FAMILY FUN EVENTS AND SAFETY ACTIVITIES
National Safe Boating Week 2018 actually begins with the pre-event Wear Your Life Jacket to Work Day, Friday, May 18th. Show off your jacket and post a selfie to #lifejacket2work  or to their Facebook page.
LIFE JACKET WORLD RECORD DAY
Saturday, May 19th is Life Jacket World Record Day when thousands of people around the world wear life jackets to set the world record for most life jackets worn in one day. It’s a great opportunity to promote safe boating and to show how versatile, comfortable and fashionable life jackets can be. Since the event started in 2010, more than 40,000 people have participated. If you’re an interested boater who wants to be counted in the worldwide tally, you can find an event location at the Safe Boating Campaign website. You can also take the Life Jacket Pledge and tell others as well. If you’re a marina or business that would like to take part, you can register here.
READY, SET, WEAR IT!
National Safe Boating Week is just one of many summer events that the Safe Boating Campaign will be hosting. They also have four Ready, Set, Wear It! events on May 19th, June 9th, July 7th and August 11th. The Ready Set Wear It! event sponsors compete to see who has the most participants. Events with the most participants will receive prizes.
